have problem with program running get error activex error 429 cannot creat active x file, problem with activex not responding error message
I want to register but first would like to know how much this product will cost me.
Mona, I'll have someone contact you with pricing information. I bought the product last year for around $20 or $30 or so if I recall correctly.
Michael,
Which program is giving you the error? This error can occur when program files are missing or corrupt as well as when a problem exists in the application itself. If you can isolate the program, you may be able to solve it by uninstalling and re-installing the program. If the program is a Microsoft Office program, the Detect and Repair (or Microsoft Diagnostics in 2007 and above) utility may help.
Regcure is free to scan your system and see if you have errors that need attention. If you'd like like to clean-up all problems its 29.99 for a 1 year unlimted use license!
I'd say its worth it to have a clean and peppy system again :)
power shut down, not from the main power
Can not get Navigation back on the websites.
When website comes on it says Navigation cancelled.
Can not get my windows word to let me in to type songs or paragraphs.
Hi Audry,
I see all of your comments awaiting approval in the moderation area of this website. Just wanted to let you know I'll try to find some answers for you in the morning. It's late where I am right now, but you aren't lost in cyberspace...
Good morning, Audry, looks like you have two separate questions:
1. Want to be able to use the windows word part of the computer and need to buy a license for it.
2. Need my navigation back on my webpages.
Let's tackle #1 first. Many computers come with trial versions of MS Office and Word preinstalled. When the time period is up, the programs no longer function until you purchase the product. If you are willing to pay, open Word and follow the prompts for upgrading your license.
If you'd rather try some alternatives, here's an article discussing some of the popular alternatives:
http://filetonic.com/blog/2008/06/01/what-are-the-best-alternatives-to-microsoft-office/
You might also check to see if your computer came with Microsoft Works installed. The Works word processor is similar to Word though not as feature rich.
2. As far as navigation and websites go, I assume you mean that your menus and buttons in the browser have disappeared?
In Internet Explorer, right-click the area at the top. A sub-menu appears. Enable the "menu bar" and any other bars that you'd like to be visible by clicking on the item you want. A checkmark will appear indicating that you have made your selection.
Hope this helps...

I have a huge computer problem. I can't access the full features of the internet, I can not check e-mail on yahoo, hotmail, aol, but I can on gmail, my adobe flash player and java script won't let me upgrade. I keep deleting the files or programs such as games, instant messangers, things of that nature and i use disk cleanup right after, it still eats away at my memory it seems like. I use defrag about once a month. I use registry repair pro and that still doesn't fix the problem, i delete my browsing histroy, nothing work. i don't know what to do. and the computer is still under warrenty for another year but they won't honor the maintanence agreement becuase the guy who sold it to me is no longer there. I need my computer for school and I can barely do anything on it anymore. What do I do?

Hey, I tried your suggestions numerous times. Yes have run virus scans, sorry I didn't mention that before. I ran Norton 360 and all it told me was that I had an unwanted cookie, but when I hit the fix button, it said that it couldn't fix it because it was only allowed to fix certain problems. So, I am still having the same problems. I did get to update my JavaScript and My Adobe Flash Player. But now everytime I go on certain websites like SciFi, it tells me that I need to install the Flash Plug-In. I have tried and it won't allow me to do that. I have still been having most of all the old issues I was having. My computer memory is still eat away. I have deleted all the unneccessary things off my laptop. My question is that I have over 100 something pictures and almost 410 songs on my computer, could that be the biggest problem? I have all of my music on Windows Media Player. Could that be the reason that I don't have a lot of memory on my c drive? Thanks.
EJ,
Yes, photos and music files can be HUGE and therefore they can gobble up your hard drive's space. If you go into Windows Explorer, right-click the storage folders, and choose Properties, you will see how large the folder is. For example, I right-clicked my Videos folder and found out that my videos use up 32 gigabytes of hard drive space.
