T File Extension Description

The Tar program creates files with the .t file extension to store a number of files together, but does not encode them to lessen the size of the resulting file.
Files created with the Turing programming language also use the T file extension. The Turing programming language was developed from Pascal. It was originally named Object-Oriented Turing to differentiate it from the Classic Turing and the Turing Plus variations of the language. Files with the T file extension contain source code written with the Turing language.
The file extension T is also used to store source code written with the Terse programming language. Terse was developed for the x86 computer model. It is a low-level programming language used to create processes for hardware. The .t file extension is attached to files that can still be edited using a plain text editor. These files can also be compiled to create a process.
The Notepad program from the Microsoft Corporation uses the file extension .t. Notepad is a plain text program that can create and edit text files. The German version of the program uses the T file extension to save text files. Other plain text files can open files with the T file extension.
The T file extension is also used by the IRIS Spreadsheet application from eurobraille. IRIS is a line of portable computers that use keys in Braille. These machines are specifically created for blind people. The application saves spreadsheets with the T file extension.
