The program mostly works on recovering the URL links stored in files with the PFC file extension.

The program WordPefect also uses the PFC file extension. Files that serve as the WordPerfect Perfect Fit filter use the file extension .pfc. The files with the PFC file extension are used to enable the WordPerfect program to have complete access to the resources of the computer. The Perfect Fit filter allows components of the WordPerfect program to be installed in the Windows registry.

The file is present in several versions of the WordPerfect Suite and WordPerfect Office. If the entries in the registry become faulty, the WordPerfect Perfect Fit filter registers them again.
