FPM File Extension Description

The FPM file extension is used by the FoxPro application. FoxPro is both a tool for managing databases and a programming language. The FoxPro programming language is used to describe all the steps needed to complete a computer process.

This application uses its native programming language to create processes. The processes are used to automate certain tools for databases. The processes created by the application use the file extension .fpm. The header file attached to save processes uses the FPM file extension.

Header files are often attached to a file containing source code. Compilers add files that have the FPM file extension when a stream of code is being turned into an actual file. The file, which uses the file extension .fpm, contains descriptions of the source code. These descriptions tell the system what processes and resources the process needs. Files with the .fpm file extension are used to prepare the system to run the actual process.

The FoxPro application creates programs that are made up of a number of subroutines. Each subroutine is stored with a header file attached. The header file automatically included by the compiler is given the FPM file extension. When programs created by FoxPro are sent to other users, the header files are automatically included.

The FPM file extension is also used by the Visual FoxPro application. Visual FoxPro is an upgraded version of the FoxPro application. Visual FoxPro makes use of the .fpm file extension the same way as the original program.

The FPS Creator program also uses the FPM file extension. The Game Creators developed this application. The application allows users to create first person shooting games. These games are created without using source code. Rather, the program provides a click-and-drag function so users can choose elements. These elements include objects, actions and visual elements. Users can save these projects and turn them into actual executable files.

FPS Creator uses the FPM file extension to hold the map of the game. These files contain the data for each level. This file links to the other elements needed for any level to be played.
