BOO File Extension Description

the programming language named Boo, for its class file, BOO uses the file extension. This programming language is object oriented and involves static typing, which was first introduced in the year 2003 and used for CLI or Common Language Infrastructure. Static typing simply means it has the ability to type check a source code for type correctness, using this; characteristic programs are able to deliver an improved runtime performance.

Because Boo is a statically type application, programs written in this programming language will run as fast as programs written in other statically typed language. It uses a syntax, which is based on Python, with special attention given to the language and the compiler extensibility. This programming language, that uses the BOO file extension, has a built in support for Web Style applications, Unicode, and Internationalization.

Among the notable features of Boo, the programming language that uses the BOO file extension, includes typing inference, multi methods, generators, macros, and an optional duck typing which is the ability to declare an object as a duck type. It also has a feature that will tell the programming language not to resolve any operation when that particular object is called during compile time; instead, it is going to change the operations into a method that will not resolve the conflict, until it is on runtime, first class functions, true closures and currying.

Boo is an open sourced programming language and is licensed under the MIT/BSD style licensing, and can be used with the .NET Framework and Mono Runtime. It can also be used to implement Win Forms and GTK applications. Boo source codes can also be directly imbedded in an ASP.Net web page, handlers and web services.

The Boo programming language uses the BOO file extension for its class files, using the following functions and methods. The function Invoke calls a function synchronously, BeginInvoke calls a function asynchronously, and will return a handle that is used to check the condition of the execution and will produce a return value. The function EndInvoke ends an asynchronous call by returning a final value.
