AGR File Extension Description

A file with the AGR file extension is a screen saver or a graph image from the application AepGraph. These graphics in the AGR file extension were originally in 2D, and were developed into 3D graphics. The images were polar spherical, cylindrical, and were time plotted. The program AepGraph also allows users to sculpt their own images. Two options are provided by AepGraph for this: the more complicated way is to imagine a particular shape, and then figure out what exact function can be used to produce the imagined shape; the second way is easier, since the user just has to type random functions into the application AepGraph, wait for whatever it comes up with, and then tweak the results from there.

The file extension AGR is also used in the APM Graph Vector Graphic. These are representation of vector graphs: the vector XYAM and XYXY. The vector graphics that are represented with the AGR file extension use vector plots that are customizable. Added dimensions can also be done to a vector plot, through columns of a worksheet for the specification of the plot?s attributes.

These graphics in the AGR file extension are also enhanced with superimposed geographical map images, or plot contour. The origins have the types of color, width, arrowhead length and angle, closed or open arrowheads, and more controls used on the graphics creation. Even the dataset of the base vector on its angle and magnitude are provided, as well as color indications, and line connection.

ArcView ASCII grid is another definition of the files with the AGR file extension, and the ArcGRID Desktop uses this. The program is a geographical information system. The software ArcView enables users to open and edit data of GIS, that are flat files or by the ArcSDE view data. The current version that uses the AGR file extension is version 9.2 that can be used with the operating systems Windows 2003 Server, 64-bit, XP 32, and MS Windows 2000. The software ArcView is composed of the ArcMap and the ArcCatalog, which have different functions. The ArcMap is for map composition and geographic analysis. On the other hand, the ArcCatalog is utilized for the management of geographical data; both use the file extension AGR.
