But with the wallchgr.exe process, wallpapers may not just be as simple as that. More options for wallpaper customization are available with this process file.

Once the wallchgr.exe process is installed, it will display a WallChanger system tray so users will be able to easily access the program and change the settings of his wallpaper. One can also stretch the wallpaper or turn it to various tiles to form one background. Stretching the wallpaper using the wallchgr.exe process will never distort the image unlike other programs of its type, because this application uses a special stretching algorithm that adjusts the pixels so that one can still have a rich image even when the picture is stretched. This feature of the process wallchgr.exe is similar to commercial photo editing software functionalities like that found in Adobe Photoshop. This program like the jpeg, gifs, and bitmap also supports different image file formats.

The wallchgr.exe process also allows users to organize many wallpaper images into different themes stored in a special WallChanger folder collection. This also has the Watch Directory that permits easy detection of added or deleted images stored in the WallChanger folder.

Aside from this, the wallchgr.exe process also adds more options for desktop wallpapers like allowing the user to add text layer, a calendar, or an image layer, over the original wallpaper background. Specifying the transparency level can also be done with the wallchgr.exe process. Transparency option is available for calendars, text overlay, and image overlay.
