Modems are used to connect the computer to the Internet. Along with the modems are drivers. Drivers or modem drivers are used to control another circuit or another component. The usrmlnka.exe file is considered as a modem driver for U.S. Robotics modems. The file usrmlnka.exe is also referred to as U.S. Robotics Modem Link A and also serves as the interface for U.S. Robotics drivers.

The computer uses the usrmlnka.exe process in order to successfully communicate with the US Robotics modem connected to your computer. The usrmlnka.exe file is currently registered in the Process Server database to US Robotics. The file usrmlnka.exe is automatically installed once the drivers for the US Robotics modem have been installed or connected. The usrmlnka.exe file has a registry entry found in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Run \USRpdA.

The file usrmlnka.exe serves as a translator between the U.S Robotics modem and the computer.
