Description:

The ufdlmon.exe process is part of the drivers used for USB Flash Disks provided by manufacturers of USB Mass Storage devices. The urllstck.exe file was designed to be able to run and access Hi-speed USB Flash disks from within a Windows Operating System. A Universal Serial Bus lets you connect peripherals to your computer by providing a standard serial bus for interface devices without the need to reboot your computer before the device is able to be used. The USB interface is capable of achieving speeds of up to 480mbits per second.

A USB Flash disk is lightweight, secure and easily removable. Once you have plugged the device in your computer, the ufdlmon.exe process will automatically detect and configure the flash disk. You can then read, write and edit files in the same way that you would on a hard drive. Since the disk has a large capacity, you will be able to play MP3 files, run applications or play videos directly from it. A USB flash disk is a useful device, as it is compact and easy to carry. It replaces floppy disks, Zip drives and CD-RW discs in the movement and transport of data.

USB Flash disks offers data security and great flexibility with password security features and disk partitioning. A securely partitioned drive allows you place valuable files onto the flash disk and protect it from being accessed by an outside user. Microsoft Windows ME, 2000 and XP (and later versions) have built-in support for USB Flash disks however for Windows 98 you need to install a driver or USB disk utility in order to gain access to the drive, create partitions and enable the security features of the flash disk.
