Description:

The UninstallAbility application ensures that a user will always be able to uninstall programs that are deemed unnecessary or unwanted, from the computer. The process uability.exe maintains back up copies of the Add/Remove list, assists in uninstalling programs that are not listed in the Add/Remove list, and restores the Add/Remove list from a back up copy.

Windows maintains information on programs that can be uninstalled from the computer through an uninstall list in the registry. However, there are times when this list gets corrupted or destroyed and thus uninstallation of a program is no longer an option. With the process uability.exe, the application keeps a backup copy of the list used by Windows and all uninstall information allowing it to be restored when needed.

The process uability.exe is especially useful when a program that is needed to be uninstalled is not found in the Windows list but is still present in the computer. The file unability.exe has the capability to perform the task by reading the backup copy of the uninstall list, so that the programs in question can be uninstalled from the computer.

The Graphical User Interface of the process uability.exe is a window that contains three actions for the user to choose from. One is to create a back up of the uninstall list, second is to restore the list from a back up copy and third is to uninstall a program that is not in the uninstall list. After selecting one option the user is then able to click on Next where the application will perform the chosen action.
