Description:

The tgfix.exe process implements an application from SupportSoft that provides users with online support. The file is normally provided by SupportSoft to manufacturers, such as Sony, for its Vaio Support, Toshiba, with its Virtual Tech, and certain other Internet Service Providers, i.e. Comcast, Cox, and Charter. The file tgfix.exe provides a process called TgAddServer, which allows the SupportSoft to repair system damages, clean the system from viruses, update drivers, and others.

To install the file and the SupportSoft application users must first speak to one of the solutions engineer from SupportSoft by calling the telephone number indicated in the authors Web site. The Support Connection software can also be downloaded from the site. Installing this application will allow their solutions engineers to have secure access to users computers for diagnosis, repair, and optimization.

When the installed tgfix.exe process is activated, the file automatically connects users to the available solutions engineer. The software engineer can operate the users keyboard and mouse to resolve his or her problem. This process is called Remote Control technology. The user controls the engineers access during the process and he or she can see everything the engineer does.

The services offered by SupportSoft, Inc. is available in several prices. The Support Connection software offers several services including: Comprehensive Problem Resolution, System TuneUp, Virus and Spyware Removal, Network Setup and Troubleshoot 1-2 PCs, Wireless Security Setup 1 PC, Printer Setup and Troubleshooting, Data Backup Service, Security Audit, Digital Camera Training and Setup, and MP3 Training and Setup. The application also provides Google Apps services for a single user and the Google Apps Setup.

The process tgfix.exe and the services offered by SupportSoft can only be used in the Windows operating system. The file currently does not support the Apple Macintosh, Linux, or UNIX environment. The file has a known file size of 114,688 bytes on the Windows XP operating system.
