Description:

The process tbctray.exe provides quick and easy access to the Santa Cruz Control Panel. The file will only be available for use if any Montego sound card series is installed in the system. The tbctray.exe process is also bundled with the Turtle Beach Santa Cruz software, available with the said sound card. Additionally, the tbctray.exe file is also installed during the installation of the Turtle Beach Driver which may be found either on the CD-ROM or via FTP from the developer. The file may not be installed if the Windows system provides a default driver for the sound card.

The basic function of the file tbctray.exe is to provide a Santa Cruz Control Panel icon that looks like a blue loudspeaker in the system tray. When the blue loudspeaker icon is clicked, the process tbctray.exe provides access to the full Santa Cruz Control Panel. The file tbctray.exe will also automatically display the master volume control that allows the user to adjust the entire audio system such as cranking the volume up or lower it down to a whisper. Through the file tbctray.exe, the Santa Cruz Control Panel has the ability provide the user with access to the several sound card configurations such as speaker modes and recording settings.

If the icon presented by the tbctray.exe process is not available in the system tray, it can be activated through the Santa Cruz Control Panel from the Programs section of the Start menu. Right-click wherever you want in the Control Panel of the Santa Cruz. From the pop-up menu, choose the Load System Tray command to activate the function of the tbctray.exe process.
