Description:

The program sr.exe can be launched at start up and provides the user with almost immediate entry into any web site or program. SlickRun lets the user create names for programs or web sites.

The executable file sr.exe runs in Windows is a command utility that is free floating and allows the user to interact naturally with the computer. For example, the user can set up the command alias mail to launch Microsoft Outlook Express. Typing the word mail would then instruct the computer to run Outlook.

The user can also run several programs with just a few keystrokes and even launch the web browser so that it automatically goes to a particular Internet address. Typing the URL into sr.exe can use this feature.

It should be noted however, that sr.exe cannot be used to create keyboard shortcuts to run certain programs. The design of SlickRun is such that it is much more intuitive than hotkey programs. Studies have revealed that command words created by the user are much easier to remember than random characters such as keystrokes.

The program sr.exe requires a Windows 2000, 2003, XP or Vista operating system, 2 MB of disk space, and 32 MB of memory.
