The process spoolss.exe is a legitimate process, which handles all print requests for the NT operating system. It deals with the printing process from disk to local printer. The process spoolss.exe stores the document to be printed & then transfers it to the printer. In order to speed up the printing process and to prevent the computer from having to wait for a printer to print a document, the document is first spooled to the computer's hard disk then from there, it is passed to the printer in the background.
