Description:

The program shield.exe is a component of Acronis Privacy Expert Spyware Shield. The shield.exe program is used to diagnose important system settings changes that are maybe caused by malicious activity of spyware. Spyware is secretly installed computer software to a personal computer. Spyware are made to interrupt or take partial manipulation of the users interface with a computer. Spyware can interrupt the communication without the permission of the user.

The process shield.exe avoids any spyware to be installed on desktop personal computers or laptops. However, installation of other kind suspicious programs in a computer is also covered by the protection of the program shield.exe. The process shield.exe frequently observes the processes that are running in the system. The shield.exe file alerts the user because of some suspicious activities of software. For example, the software will try to put some changes in Windows registry and making the spyware to run upon starting the computer.

Using the program shield.exe, the user can choose whether to allow the changes made by the spyware to happen on the computer or to block the behavior made by the spyware.
