SearchEnhancement can enhance the user's search and browsing experience and shows users relevant content, advertising and search results. It uses the information about the pages viewed by the user to improve functionality and to add new features to the application.

The scbar.exe process monitors users browsing habits. It then distributes the gathered data back to the authors servers for analyses. This program also displays advertising pop-up advertisements and changes the default Internet Explorer search and error pages.

The process scbar.exe tracks browsing activity with installed applications and with cookies.
