Description:
The process savagent.exe or SAVAgent runs on the platforms Windows 95, 98 and ME. This program runs as a remote agent that allows SAVAdmin to administer these workstations. The SAVAgent interacts with SAVAdmin in a way, which is defined by four (4) parameters. These are network address, network protocols, endpoint, and internal port number.
The process savagent.exe and SAVAdmin both comes as utilities for the maintenance versions of Sophos Antivirus installations, which runs with Windows NT, 2000, 2003, XP Professional and Windows 95, 98, and Me platforms.
The Sophos Antivirus software with the savagent.exe program runs in the version 4.5 and version 5. To obtain control of the software, a tool called Enterprise Console is used. This is an administration console mainly used by Sophos Endpoint Security and Control, a cross-platform control and security utility used in laptops, file servers, laptops and mobile devices.
The Enterprise Console used in the Sophos Antivirus Software is able to perform tasks such as creating and editing computer groups, creating policies for antivirus and host-based intrusion-prevention system or HIPS, updating, firewall and application control, and assigning policies to computers or computer groups.
