Description:

The program samcal.exe runs on Windows 95 and above.

The program samcal.exe, or SAMcal, is a small calendar and reminder application. The use of this program requires the file HTML Help. With this requirement, the Internet Explorer 5.0 or above also is needed, which supplies most of the required files.

The process samcal.exe or SAMcal contains a configurable graphical user interface, which can be defined in a wide range of fonts and colors. Effects are also provided for the fonts.

One of the features of the samcal.exe process is that, it can be programmed in multiple types of events. These contain start and stop boundaries and includes the options one-time only, annual, a specific date, Nth week day and last day of the month repeated monthly, weekly, daily, periodic (example: every 15 days, every 2 months, etc.), weekdays, or combinations of any of these.

The SAMcal program also provides the delivery of selected events through e-mail. This feature is a free add-on for the application. With the application events feature, SAMcal can schedule an application to launch at the specified time and date. The program also contains a clock and pop up alarms as added utilities.

SAMcal contains a highly configurable look, which includes two overall layouts, and themes that can also be scheduled to a date and time with which it is applied. The program also supports multiple users and sounds for different types of events and actions. And as an additional user-friendly utility, tooltips are added for showing the events for a specific day.
