Description:

The file safein~1.exe is a program which monitors a download and ensures a newer version of a file is not replaced by an older one.

The process safein~1.exe or the Safe Install utility tests the compatibility of the applications and files. This program scans the System Folder on a computers hard drive and identifies the items that might be incompatible with a certain application. The process safein~1 checks extensions and control panels for compatibility. This program does not check the compatibility of programs.

The process safein~1.exe or Safe Install automatically detects an older version of a DLL, OCX or VBX file that is copied on the system and notifies the user about these files who can then rectify the problem very easily with just a click of the mouse. The file wininit.ini is also checked through the safein~1.exe process for files that are replaced during the reboot process.

If the Safe Install utility finds an unknown or incompatible item in the System Folder of a startup disk, a message box will appear asking the user if he wants to move the incompatible or unknown item from the System Folder. When the process safein~1.exe has finished examining a system, a report will appear on the screen.
