Description:

The program rexsymon.exe is software for REX synchronization that is used for Xircom REX MicroPDAs in sharing information between a personal computer and a personal digital assistant (PDA). A personal digital assistant is a handheld device that acts like a personal computer that can be used as a calculator, calendar and clock and to access the Internet, etc.

The computer users are able to synchronize their Personal Digital Assistant through the Card slot of a notebook computer or a desktop computers USB cradle.

Using the program rexsymon.exe, the computer user can then synchronize a PDA with Microsoft Outlook. The Microsoft Outlook is a component of the Microsoft Office suite and functions as a personal information manager. The Microsoft Outlook is an application that provides the user a task and management contact, calendar, journal and web writing and even note-taking functionalities. However, the computer user can also use the program rexsymon.exe on other personal information manager (PIM) software. The personal information manager is application software that serves as a personal organizer. The purpose of a PIM is to facilitate types of management, tracking and recording information. Personal information managers (PIM) maybe either a proprietary program or an outside program.

All personal information that is stored in a personal digital assistant can be transferred to a personal computer. Transferred information can be organized in a Microsoft Outlook or other personal information manager using the program rexsymon.exe. The rexsymon.exe program that is used in synchronizing a PDA to a personal computer can prevent the loss of information in case the device is lost, destroyed or stolen because the information was already available in other device.
