Description:

The application RAM Def 2.71, executed by the file ramdef.exe, is a memory management tool that allows the monitoring and defragmentation of the systems Random Access Memory (RAM) unit. The ramdef.exe process will be included in the startup group and will execute and integrate into the system when Windows starts up.

The program executed by ramdef.exe has no user interface, but an icon will be placed on the system tray found in your taskbar. A window will open when the icon is clicked, revealing a simple GUI (Graphical User Interface) that will display memory usage and allocation, as well as the command buttons to execute memory cleanup.

The GUI displays the memory usage of your system, either in numbers or in bar graphs, along with a cleaner code and a percentage that represents resource consumption, depending on your systems memory capacity.

The main purpose of the ramdef.exe process is to remove bits of unused data to free up necessary RAM space, which could then speed up the system or applications performance. Also, since most operating system crashes are attributed to memory problems (kernel), RAM Def 2.71 will reduce the occurrence of these mishaps to almost zero.

The program supports Microsoft Windows operating systems from 98 up to Windows XP, and can be downloaded from almost any free download sites on the Internet.

The ramdef.exe process has a total file size of 122,040 bytes and will have its own startup registry value under the location HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\ Windows\ CurrentVersion\ Run\.
