Description:

The Prevx1 software features a Control Center, which is the main function of the pxconsole.exe file. The software Prevx1 was developed by Prevx to provide security and protection to computer users. Instead of identifying the malicious codes by its signature, Prevx1 identifies the malicious code by its behavior. This enables the software to neutralize whole classes of malware before they ever have a recognized signature. The software offers a more aggressive, comprehensive, and effective protection.

The Control Center feature provided by the file pxconsole.exe is a Web-based Prevx1 management feature. The function was intended for any multi-user license holder and provides control and statistics about user-specific Prevx1 environment. The Control Center caters to all Prevx1 users, either locally or globally, and creates individual profiles with customized security settings. The program pxconsole.exe also allows the user to view detailed information about several kinds of viruses, Trojans, worms etc. Additionally, the Control Center also sends SMS Paging alerts about security threats for each of the multi-user license holders user.

To access the Control Center function of the pxconsole.exe file, the user needs to log in at the authors Web site, or http://control.prevx.com. After successful login, the pxconsole.exe program automatically displays the Control Center Main Page. The Main Page contains information on different fields including Current User, Latest Alert, License Details, Main Sections, and Sub-Sections. Navigation in the Control Center involves clicking the relevant topic or by simply using the hyperlink, which are usually in blue.

Aside from the Main Page, the Reporting, Settings, and Management tabs are also displayed. The Reporting tab consists of Overview, Malware in my organization, PCs in my organization, who has been roaming, Where the PCs have been roaming, and Delete PCs from under this license key sections.

The Settings tab includes sections, namely Groups, Alerts, Kept Alerts, Exclusion Folders, Determination Overrides, and Agents Modes/Policies. Lastly, the Management tab consists of Manage PC licenses, Managed installation, Manage Control Center users and Renew/Upgrade (License) sections.
