Description:

The PaperMaster application is activated through the file pwatch.exe. The file then starts the DocuMagix Init program in the Startup folder. The PaperMaster is an application designed to automate the process of organizing, archiving, and retrieving digital versions of files.

The file pwatch.exe was originally used in DocuMagix PaperMaster 98. Another variant of the program pwatch.exe is PaperMaster Pro, which includes all the functions of the original application. The pwatch.exe file provides several functions, like providing easy access to cabinets from previous versions of the PaperMaster software. Users only need to convert to the new format using the built-in cabinet converter. Through PaperMaster, users can create universally accepted PDF files simply from any fax, scan, or Windows application. This enables users to produce exact copies of documents and images that can be viewed on any computer easily.

Another feature included in the file pwatch.exe is the easy document management solution. Important documents are scanned and stored with a click and you get to keep track of everything with easy tabbed folders and menus. There is also the AutoCrop feature and the Sticky Notes tool where users can add text or annotate documents. The built-in Optical Character Recognition (OCR) lets users convert any paper-based document into editable text that they can use with their favorite word processor, spreadsheet, or text-based application. The pwatch.exe application also makes searching easy by not requiring users to remember the exact name of the document. The AutoSearch feature can be utilized through the input of annotation or text content.

There are other features that the PaperMaster application provides. Some of these are the eFax Internet fax service, integrated e-mail, quick and easy filling of forms, file cabinet sharing, and file cabinet locking.
