Description:

The file pavsched.exe is a program installed alongside with Panda Software International's Panda AdminSecure management console.

Panda AdminSecure centralizes administration of all Panda Security's programs. This tool allows for deployment over the network, monitoring, maintenance and configuration of protection across workstations, file and mail servers etc. This application can adapt to any enterprise network. In addition to its own security policy definitions, Panda AdminSecure integrates transparently with third-party technologies. This tool also includes a powerful incident warning system.

Panda AdminSecure schedules its scanning task through the process pavsched.exe or its scheduler tool. The process pavsched.exe is a standalone tool that is bundled with the antivirus installer. This application is installed as a separate program the first time the antivirus is downloaded and installed. The pavsched.exe process is a fully configurable and powerful, scheduling tool that gives users total control over the frequency with which they want to automatically scan or update the antivirus software to help protect against the latest threats.

The process pavsched.exe shows a list of the active tasks in the antivirus policy. It allows the user to create new tasks and modifies or deletes existing tasks.

The process pavsched.exe creates the entries HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SYSTEM\ CurrentControlSet\ Services\ PavAtScheduler Panda AdminSecure Scheduler in the system registry.

The process pavsched.exe was built to run in a GUI subsystem. It has an MD5 hash, which verifies that it is not fake or altered. This process is not digitally signed. Panda Software International did not sign the file pavsched.exe with a certificate from a Microsoft Windows source.

Panda AdminSecure requires at least 55 megabytes hard drive space and 128 MB RAM. It is compatible with Windows 95, Windows 2000 Professional, Windows 98, Windows 2000 Server, Windows Millennium Edition, Windows 2000 Advanced Server, Windows NT4 Workstation, Windows NT 4.0 Enterprise Server, Windows NT 3.51 Server, Windows Server 2003 and Windows NT 4.0 Server.
