The file pavmail.exe is a program that ships with PER AntiVirus software by PER Systems S.A.

The process pavmail.exe is an e-mail protection utility called by PER Antivirus to scan incoming e-mails and strip out infected attachments. The process pavmail.exe checks unsolicited e-mails before it enters the messaging system. It scans all incoming and outgoing messages and checks for all known viruses. The pavmail.exe process for macro-viruses, trojans and all other types of malicious file scans all e-mail attachments and documents.

The process pavmail.exe occupies 70 kilobytes of disk space. This program was built to run in a graphical user interface subsystem.

The pavmail.exe file is not digitally signed. PER Systems S.A. did not sign this file with a Microsoft Windows source.
