Description:
The openvpn-gui.exe file provides the graphical user interface (GUI) for the program OpenVPN for the Microsoft Windows Operating System. It is a file that is designed by the OpenVPN group to enable users to manipulate and use OpenVPN using graphical representation of the available commands.
OpenVPN is a free and open source application that can tunnel Internet Protocol (IP) networks using only one User Datagram Protocol (UDP) port, with support for packet encryption, packet compression, packet authentication, as well as key exchange and Secure Sockets Layer/Transport Layer Security (SSL/TLS)-based session authentication. It is a virtual private network (VPN) program for the creation of point-to-point encrypted tunnels between host computers that is published under the GNU General Public License (GPL) and was designed by James Yonan.
The openvpn-gui.exe file allows the initiation and execution of OpenVPN application. It provides dialog boxes wherein the user can enter a password to access the users virtual private network, and it also enables users to change their password if they want to, provided that they have correctly verified their old password. The openvpn-gui.exe process also provides an interface wherein users can change the configuration of the OpenVPN applications proxy settings; users can choose whether to use SOCKS proxy, Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) proxy, Internet Explorer settings, OpenVPN Config-file settings, or to just manually configure all of the above settings.
The openvpn-gui.exe process wont work if the file libeay32.dll is not installed on the users computer because this openvpn-gui.exe process depends on the libeay32.dll file for it has encryption functions that allow coded communications on networks.
