Description:

The nerocheck.exe process was developed by Ahead Software Gmbh for the NeroCheck or Nero - Burning Rom which is also called the Nero AG NeroCheck or Nero 7 Ultra Edition.

The process nerocheck.exe is a program that can run at start up for the Nero CD/DVD Burning software, associated with the Nero Burning Rom, which is a CD writing software that works with the computer. It provides continuous integrity checks on the filter drivers for the CD Rom system driver stack and fixes some issues such as missing filter driver binaries, which could cause the CD Rom device to malfunction otherwise. In addition to this, the nerocheck.exe program is developed to determine the problems when running Nero burning Rom because it attempts to locate drivers that may be causing problems and details them in Nero's log file.

The file nerocheck.exe is also serves to install or control the Nero driver nerocd2k.sys application. The file works when a Nero Log file is printed. At the very bottom of the Nero log file, it will display a list of drivers that have been found on your system that could be causing conflicts with some other application installed. The user can disable the process on the Startup tab unless they experience problems with Nero, in which situation re-enable the program nerocheck.exe to see what the log file reports.

The nerocheck.exe process creates the following registry key in the system, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ Software\ Microsoft\Windows NT\ CurrentVersion\ Windows\ AppInit_DLL.
