Description:

Microsoft Transaction Server or MTS is a transaction processing system based on Windows components. MTS enables the user to create, deploy, and administer server applications either through the Internet or through a local area network. It presents a graphical tool known as MTS Explorer where the user can carry out such software development stages. In addition, MTS has a run-time environment through which the user can test his server applications and correct any errors that he would find. To provide these features, MTS includes a number of processes.

The process mtx.exe, for instance, is an important component of Microsoft Transaction Server. The mtx.exe process is an application whose main purpose is to load a particular MTS package by generating MTS objects on behalf of the client applications that are created by the user. Such MTS objects may include buttons, text boxes, labels, and other similar Windows-based elements. The process mtx.exe is important in ensuring the completeness and validity of the client applications that have been built and developed using MTS. In order for the mtx.exe process to do the aforesaid task, it works with a number of MTS components and Windows system files. Once the user has loaded the MTS software, the process mtx.exe is automatically started. As a requirement, the process mtx.exe needs to be provided with a minimum of 400 kb worth of RAM resources to perform its user-defined functions.

Furthermore, the file mtx.exe is not network dependent, and it does not use the Internet. The process mtx.exe does not interact with any computer hardware. As a means of optimizing the use of the process mtx.exe, the user should first verify that the client application is properly running and has been thoroughly tested before loading the MTS package provided by the mtx.exe file. Finally, the user should also properly determine and select the MTS objects for the client application that will be provided by the mtx.exe process.
