Description:

The process msascui.exe protects the computer against various online threats such as spyware, adware and Trojans by controlling the Microsoft Windows Defender Antispyware application. These threats can easily be passed via e-mail or via direct attack by gaining unauthorized access to your computer. Next to the clock in the system tray, you will see an icon for this application.

The process msascui.exe is pre-installed on some PCs. Alternatively it will be installed along with Microsoft Vista or when Windows Defender is installed. The process could also appear when your computer starts up.
