The application is part of Mavis Beacon Typing Tutor that provides structured lessons accompanied by a set of onscreen hands to model proper hand placement. Once installed the file minimavis.exe brings you to a screen that gives you several options. The first option available is to click an icon that is the Lesson area. This brings you into a classroom. Inside, there are several other buttons you can use to customize your lessons according to your own needs, skills, and abilities. You will also find a keyboard and a different with a monitor plus instructions. The monitor displays four different buttons to choose from. The first button is to Customize Lessons, the next is the Repeat Audio button that repeats personal instruction, the third is the Start the Lesson button, and the last is the History button to review previous lessons.
