Description:

The Cybermedia Clean Sweep is provided by the process file mhinit.exe. The program mhinit.exe is used to safely remove erroneous applications from your computer, remove unused or unnecessary files, administer installed applications, and keep track of cookies, ActiveX controls, and others.

The application mhinit.exe at installation offers an option of installing a Smart Sweep feature, which enables at startup and implements an Internet Sweep. Both of these features run in the background together with logging and monitoring activities in your system. Smart Sweep logs all changes made to your system when you install a program. If you ever uninstall this program, every single component of that program is removed. It creates a separate record for every single component you uninstall, and it contains itemized information within it including the components installed, number of files copied, registry entries, and others. Internet Sweep monitors all ActiveX downloads from the Internet in the background. It also maintains a log file for them so you can easily remove them. You can install these immediately or do it later from Cybermedia Clean Sweep advance option. After installation, both Smart Sweep and Internet Sweep will remain in the system tray.

The Clean Sweep option implemented by the file mhinit.exe lets you access all options for Cybermedia Clean Sweep from the program menu. It has four divisions: the Cleanup Section, the Internet Section, the Programs Section, and the Advanced Section.

The Cleanup Section has three different tools. An Uninstall Wizard that allows you to remove applications you do not need. Fast and Easy Cleanup enables the user to delete unnecessary files such as Internet history, Temp files, lost file cluster, etc. You just have to specify which type of files to remove and it will search the entire hard drive and calculate the amount of space it will free up.

The Internet Section covers multiple cleanup wizards for various things like cache, plug-ins, cookies, and ActiveX controls. Choosing from the options shows the user the list of components to delete. If you are sure of what to remove, you can select the Advice button and it will tell you more about the component youre going to delete.

The Program Section includes four wizards that help you monitor your currently installed applications. They are the Archive wizard that lets you compress programs that you do not use frequently, the Backup wizard that lets you create backup for any program, the Move wizard that lets you change the location of any program, and the Transport wizard that allows the user to copy a program to another computer on your network.
