Description:

The Acropolis CPU/Memory Watcher is provided by the application memorywatcher.exe. It is an application used for monitoring CPU activities, memory utilization, and local and remote system statistics. Acropolis CPU/Memory Watcher optimizes your system performance, delivers comprehensive management reporting, and ensures availability of memory by automatically detecting and correcting events and activities.

The process file memorywatcher.exe is bundled with a default gauge viewer but the user can opt to choose differently by clicking on the command bar to change the view with a more data-oriented graph viewer. These graphs provide a more comprehensive report on how much CPU power and memory is utilized by the user within their system. Another cool thing about Acropolis is that while it fully exploits WPF, the user can still use the full graphics power of the command console.

The application manager implemented by the file memorywatcher.exe is actually monitoring a few other components. The first component is the CPU utilization, which monitors CPU usage and checks if it is running at full capacity. The second component is the memory utilization; this is executed to avoid running out of memory. At the same time you get notified when memory usage is high or memory is dangerously low. The third component being monitored when file memorywatcher.exe is activated is the disk utilization activity. This is implemented to monitor and automatically maintain a margin of available disk space. The user is also notified when the disk space falls below the margin it has defined.

The fourth component is the process monitoring utilization. It monitors critical processes running in your system. You get notified when a particular process fails. And the last component is the disk input output stats. It is a monitoring report that specifies the reading and writing activity rate per second and reports also the transfer rate per seconds of all the devices in your system.

All monitoring activities are based on the so-called thresholds configuration, notifications, and alerts system that is generated by the application memorywatcher.exe when launched. Actions that are executed automatically based on users configurations settings. The user can also run their own scripts or programs to avoid disk clutter when thresholds meet. Performance reports and graphs are instantly available.
