Description:

The Lexmark Memory Card Manager allows the user to transfer images from his digital camera memory card to his computers hard disk. Through the interface presented by this program, the user can select the images that he needs to save in his hard disk and indicate the specific folder where the photos will be placed.

The primary function of the memcard.exe process is to load the main application window, where the user can transfer files from his memory card to his computer. To carry out this task, the file memcard.exe works with other components of the Lexmark Memory Card Manager and with certain operating system files. With regards to memory allocation, the process memcard.exe requires around 400 kb worth of RAM resources, when it is running.

The process, memcard.exe starts upon Windows startup. The user can verify this by referring to the following Registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\ Windows\ CurrentVersion\ Run. The file, memcard.exe is placed in C:\ Program Files\ Lexmark\ Lexmark Precision Photo\, during the installation process of its parent program.

The file, memcard.exe is related to the memory card connected to the PC. It should not be terminated, since doing so will prevent the said hardware device from being able to display the files that are to be transferred. To optimize the use of the software, the hardware, where the memory card will be inserted, should be properly attached and detected by the system.
