Description:

The mcm3.exe file is a process installed with a variant of the ShopAtHome software. When you first register with ShopAtHome they will ask you to provide your name, date of birth, street address, and E-mail address to determine your eligibility to be a member and to process your "Cash Back" rewards.

SAHAgent and the file mcm3.exe promote software which includes functionality to monitor browsing habits and to silently download, install and run new software, including updates of its software.

The application mcm3.exe is a Winsock2 Layered Service Provider. As such, if you merely remove registry entries and files, you stand a good chance of losing your network and Internet connections. Do not attempt to the process manually. Deleting files without carefully repairing the Layered Service Provider Stack in the registry will result in a lost Internet connection. It will potentially try and force your home page to the Shop-At-Home website. It will also watch you as you are surfing the internet and report its findings to the author. It redirects visits to merchant sites in order to take the affiliate fees from them automatically.
