Description:

The process max.exe is an executable application that launches the software Nvmax, an old tweaking utility for NVidia graphic cards. NVidia Corporation, a market leader in graphics and digital media processor, developed this software. It launched its first product in 1995. Their corporate headquarters is in Santa Clara, California. NVidia delivers a top to bottom series of 3D graphic solutions with support across multiple operating systems.

The application max.exe is a tweaking program used for maximizing Nvidia video card performance, quality and reliability. It features a unique user friendly interface that allows the user to effortlessly control all video and related features in just a few clicks of a mouse. The process max.exe allows an array of unique functional features such as the advanced preset control and real time speed setting.

The program max.exe, when activated, doesnt need to be running just to set functions. This is because it works alongside the Nvidia drivers and it can use its own registry to save new settings. However, you can also run NVmax in the system tray for quick access, at a minimal memory resource usage. Although NVmax also enables the video card speed in the drivers, it does not set the actual speed.

The application max.exe provides an over clocking support. It also allows a much higher possible speed that your hardware can allow; but if you set the speed too high, you then run the risk of over heating your card and may damage it. The program max.exe offers an advanced AGP function called Fastwrite. Once this affects your system at boot up or somehow garbles the screen, just run NVmax again on safe mode and it will restore to the default settings.

The file max.exe is commonly located in a subfolder of C:\ Program Files\ NVidia\ NVmax\ max.exe. It has known file sizes of 512000 bytes and 3.89 Mbytes on Windows XP. The most common occurrence of the file max.exe is 836 Kbytes of physical RAM resource.
