Description:

Lightning Download Manager is an application that helps you download files from the Internet. It accelerates, manages, and schedules your downloads to prevent incomplete or lost downloads. The software is released by Headlight Software; Inc. Headlight Software was founded in 1997, the primary product of which is GetRight. GetRight has been one of the premiere download managers in the market.

The process lightning.exe launches the software Lightning Download Manager. It installs itself as a download tray icon in the system taskbar, providing access to many of the programs features such as the Download Manager. This feature helps you begin, resume, and organize downloads of files and provides an easy way to keep track of your downloaded files.

Another feature of the program lightning.exe is the Site Storm. It allows you to easily grab various files, get every image of the web page, or process a part of the website. The SiteStorm shows a list of the files found and saves the results as a list of URLs which can be imported later using the lightning.exe application.

The Web Browsers Page lets you set the lightning.exe applications monitoring settings. These settings are used to detect when you click downloadable links in your browser. It also replaces the Save As window in your browser and triggers the lightning.exe process to take over just as the browser saves a file.
