Description:

The launch32.exe file is a Systems Management Services client component launcher, which provides remote deployment of application and security, installs. Systems Management Services, or SMS, utilizes the launch32.exe process to provide remote control, patch management, software distribution, and hardware and software inventory.

The EXE was introduced to provide a solution for times when a laptop might connect without prompt or permission to a network from different various locations. The launch32.exe file enables a network client to limit the frequency of download content from the same place within the enterprise.
