The process kemailkb.exe contains functions for handling multimedia buttons on Micro Innovations Internet Access Keyboard (650i model).

Micro Innovations designed its Internet Access Keyboards to provide users with additional multimedia keys such as one-touch keys for Internet Access and customized keys for instant access to intranet sites. The kemailkb.exe file is used by the Micro Innovations Internet Access Keyboards to configure multimedia hot keys.

The basic functionality of the kemailkb.exe file is to allow users to instantly access their email on the Internet on touch of a button. Using the kemailkb.exe files functions, buttons in the Micro Innovations Internet Access Keyboard can be configured so that it will readily direct users to preferred e-mail sites or web sites. The kemailkb.exe file configures one-touch hotkeys such as the Internet key and the Email key.

The Micro Innovations Internet Access Keyboard has twenty-two Internet and Multimedia hot keys. This adds functionality to the standard 104 keys QWERTY, AZERTY and QWERTZ keyboard layout. The keyboard is a wired input device attached via USB or PS/2 Port.

On set-up of the Micro Innovations Internet Access keyboard, an icon is displayed in the system tray where the kemailkb.exe files functions can be launched in order to configure the one-touch keys. These programmable hot keys comprise the main selling point of the Micro Innovations Internet Access keyboard as it provides users with customized productivity and maximum performance.

The kemailkb.exe process can also be used to launch frequently used applications on Windows. It can also configure buttons to play digital music or launch a multimedia device. With this feature, favorite music and videos can be played with one touch of a button.
