The program imiconxp.exe is also called the Iomega System Tray Applet and is included with the Iomega REV Drives to afford extra configuration alternatives for these storage devices.

The Iomega REV System Software, of which the process file imiconxp.exe is a part of, permits the Iomega REV Drive to work together with the Microsoft Windows operating system by employing the Universal Disk Format (UDF) file system. The Iomega REV Disks are capable of containing from 35 gigabytes to 70 gigabytes of native data. These drives offer the convenience provided by removable optical disks and tapes while simultaneously offering the random access advantage of hard drives.

Graphics design organizations are employing the Iomega REV Drives for storing and sharing huge files, while network managers are utilizing them as replacement for tape drives for backup, and students are storing their multimedia files in them.
