Description:

The software IE Doctor is a utility tool that can repair and protect the Internet Explorer browser from all malicious attacks and changes. It is the parent software of the process iedoctor.exe.

The iedoctor.exe program is integrated with a browser toolbar called the IE Doctor Bar. The IE Doctor Bar is located on top of your browser window just below the standard toolbar buttons. It includes several icons that allow you to change some of the programs settings. The first button opens the main window of the iedoctor.exe application, which can also be accessed by clicking on the System Tray icon of the program.

The IE Doctor Bar has its own Search button where you can key in the word that you want to search. Other icons include the Pop-up Killer switch, the Auto-Maximize off/on button, and the View Source icon. In addition, an icon for IE Multimedia Settings allows you to check IE multimedia configurations including show images, play animations, play videos, and play sounds. A Home icon is also displayed as a direct link to IE doctors homepage. The IE button gives the same effect as that of pressing Ctrl+N, which opens a blank IE window when pressed. Lastly, pressing the Reset IE window size button will make the current window appear in the size and position you want.

The iedoctor.exe application manages not only Internet Explorer but also all running programs, URLs, system registry, temporary files, cookies, running processes, startups, pop-ups, toolbars, and many more. It blocks almost all unwanted pop-ups and terminates any program that runs maliciously.

The process iedoctor.exe can be allowed to run on start-up by clicking the check box in the main menus general settings. The iedoctor.exe file and its mother program have registry entries that can be found in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\ Windows\ CurrentVersion\ Run.
