Description:

ICQ Lite is the program name for the icqlite.exe file. Once the ICQ Lite is installed in the computer the ICQ Lite icon automatically appears in the Windows system tray. The icqlite.exe file is used to launch the ICQ Lite application; double-clicking on the icqlite.exe file icon in the Windows system tray can do this.

When the icqlite.exe is launched, it displays the ICQ Lite user interface where the user enters his user name and password to use the application. ICQ Lite is the lighter or compact version of the ICQ chat client. The icqlite.exe application is used as an instant messenger that is similar with Yahoo IM, Google Talk, AIM, MSN chat and the like. Instant messaging is one of the easiest ways to get connected to your friends and family whether you are countries apart.

The icqlite.exe application can be launched in several ways, first of which is by clicking on the icon in the Windows system tray, or clicking on Start then ICQ Lite and under the ICQ Lite option choose ICQ Lite and lastly thru the Run feature of Windows. On the Run window, simply type in the following command icqlite.exe -trayboot then click OK, this will open immediately the ICQ Lite user interface.

Thru the icqlite.exe application users will be able to add contacts and add information in it. Aside from sending messages to your friends thru the icqlite.exe application, the user can also send SMS, file and greeting cards. The icqlite.exe application also has an entire network of chats and message boards for people to meet and chat online. Thru the icqlite.exe application the user can also chat with anyone who is using AIM instant messaging and the user can add AIM people to the ICQs buddy list and vice versa.

The icqlite.exe application has also included a security feature to avoid spam, to protect your password, to choose who of your contacts will be able to view you when you are online and to add or remove users to a list that keeps you from seeing the messages that they send you. The icqlite.exe file is related to icq.exe, icqcore.dll, icqmapi.dll, xmlparse.dll.
