Description:

The ibtna.exe file executes the Install Buddy, an application used to install and automatically translate documents in various formats such as HTML, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel files as well as Adobe PDF in a Palm organizer during HotSync. The ibtna.exe process allows communication with the Palm computing organizer to be able to convert these document types into Palm OS standard so that you may be able to use these with Palm applications.

Install Buddy is easy to use and seamlessly integrates itself when you use the Palm Hot Sync program with your Microsoft Windows Explorer and Office. The ibtna.exe process launches the Install Buddy application so that desktop documents may be used in a Palm OS and may be accessed via the touch screen graphical user interface. PalmOS has a basic application suite specially used for personal information management.

During HotSync with the Palm device, the ibtna.exe process automatically converts the documents into a readable format for Palm. HotSync integrates the Palm into your PC and is activated by pressing the HotSync button on the cradle or dock station. HotSync communicates with a variety of conduits in the desktop to back-up databases, install software or to merge any changes made in the device or on the PC. Palm communicates with a computer via a USB, Blue tooth or wireless connection.

The ibtna.exe file lets you access updated versions of your documents and automatically looks for these documents so there is no need to reorganize your computer files. Aside from this, the Install Buddy application also lets you synchronize your email in Outlook and its attachments so that you can view, these attachments right away even if it is in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, RTF, Text, HTML or PDF format.
