Description:

The application hotkey.exe or OneTouchHotKey MFC Application is also known as the Performance Logs and Alerts Service. It is also known as the TOSHIBA Hotkey Filter Application, which belongs to OneTouchHotKey Application or Microsoft Windows Operating System. Aside from this, it is also regarded as the HotKey MFC Application or ASUS Hotkey. Another term for this would be the Keyboard Hotkey or TOSHIBA Hotkey Utility, which was manufactured by Pmx. Electronics Ltd. or Microsoft Corporation. Thus, the manufacturer is also known as LG Electronics, ASUS or TOSHIBA Inc.

The file hotkey.exe gives support for the FN function keys of a Toshiba laptop. Without this file, the FN function keys will not work well. This is because it allows the users to perform functions such as: blanking the screen, muting or enabling the sound, going into Standby or Hibernation, changing the current Power Usage mode, display brightness adjustment, swapping the display between the laptop's screen and an external monitor. It also responsible for the disabling or enabling of the wireless adaptor or the Touch Pad, turning on or off of the Numerical Pad or the Scroll Lock including the Cursor Control Overlay, and zooming in and out of the display.

The program file hotkey.exe was also used by ASUS utility for mapping special keys on a laptop.
