Description:
The process encmontr.exe is a part of Encompass Web Browser. It acts as the Encompass Monitor Utility, in which the process aims to assist the Encompass Web Browser, by providing users links to related materials and to those displayed on the Encompass Web Browser. The encmontr.exe program is a background process that is commonly found on the lower portion of the screen and is mounted onto the host applications main window.
The Encompass Web Browser is a web browser for the GNOME Desktop. It is based on three search libraries. The first is the GtkHTML v2 rendering engine. The second is the soup HTTP library, which is also used by Mozilla Firefox, another popular web browser. The last one is the set of standard GNOME libraries, which is a unique library exclusive for Encompass Web Browser users. The program encmontr.exe was normally just an add-on the browser, but in later versions of the Encompass Browser, it was made one of its integrated features. This was because of the popularity the encmonr.exe gained due to its usefulness. The program encmontr.exe observes the content displayed on the main screen, and would automatically search for related web content. The encmontr.exe feature can also be turned off the same way common toolbars on a browser can be disabled.
The Encompass Web Browser is considered freeware, and is part of the GNU project. It is dedicated to provide not only the users, but the developers as well, the ultimate level of control over desktops, software, and data. GNOME Desktop is used, developed and documented in dozens of languages, giving way for developers to develop desktops in their own local language.
