Description:

The devdtct2.exe file is a part of the Device Detector 2 software program, which belongs to the Olympus Device Detector line of applications. The file devdtct2.exe is a Windows boot up process. The process devdtct2 is not a Windows Core file, and can be manually run from startup. This file devdtct2.exe is installed by the Olympus DSS (Digital Speech Standard) Player Pro.

Once installed into the system, the background process devdtct2.exe places a system tray icon on the taskbar. Using the devdtct2.exe file, DSS Player pro has the ability to download the users PC digital voice recordings using a Serial connection or USB. The user using the Olympus DSS player Pro can mail Olympus DS-3000 recordings. Device Detector 2, or the devdtct2.exe process file, automatically detects if the user has returned and plugged their DS-3000 into their PC. At this point, the process devdtct2.exe starts the application that had set-up the DSS-3000 and stores its digital recordings, commonly the Digital Speech Standard Player Pro.
