Description:

The file process cwbinhlp.exe supports the Client Access utility in accessing the IBM server and gives support, advice, and tips for iSeries products. The cwbinhlp.exe program functions as an automatic update generator for the iSeries products, in order to inform end-users if a newer version is released.

The cwbinhlp.exe program provides extra support when a user is operating new iSeries products. This cwbinhlp.exe file process is a program that is pre-installed in IBM computers and runs automatically during startup. Once the computer starts up, the cwbinhlp.exe process connects to the Internet to communicate with the server and gathers updates available for download. It then opens a pop-up box informing the end-user that new updates (files, patches, application) are available for download and requires confirmation from the end-user to initiate the downloading procedure. After downloading, patching and updating certain types of database, the Client Access utility will ask the user to reboot the system to refresh. The cwbinhlp.exe program can be disabled safely if the end-user does not wish to update the system automatically.
