Description:

The process cwbckver.exe is a part of a set of files that make up the application iSeries. The aforementioned application allows clients within a network to connect to the iSeries Network Server either through conventional, wireless or plain desktop access. The process cwbckver.exe, in particular, is used to check whether the client trying to connect to the iServer Host meets the given requirements to establish a connection.

The program file cwbckver.exe, along with its host application the IBM AS/ 400 Client Access Express for Windows, is installed by default when purchasing the IBM iSeries host computer. Upon installing the client computers, the process cwbckver.exe would then try to exchange data with the iSeries host computer. Once the client computers software is verified to match that of the host, the file cwbckver.exe would initiate a window indicating the result of the data exchange. The process cwbckver.exe would then close itself automatically after performing this function.
