Description:

The process cw.exe is a file that launches the Chat Watch program. What this process file cw.exe does is that it monitors and records instant messenger activity and the messaging application that the user is utilizing. The application supports several instant messaging applications such as MySpace IM, Yahoo! Messenger, MSN/Windows Live Messenger, Google Talk, ICQ, AOL Instant Messenger and other social networking website chat programs.

The process cw.exe and its mother program allow its users to check all the recorded instant messages including the messages sent by the other party, as well as to view the instant messages in real time via a remote online network. Since the process file cw.exe is able to log the entire users messaging activity, the users can also select which logged IM messages to keep and which to delete. It can also allow the end users to organize the recorded messages into different categories that make it easier for them to search and navigate through the said logs.

In addition to its monitoring function, The Chat Watch program and its background process cw.exe is able to provide users with a content monitoring program, which analyzes the words keyed in or the acronyms used by chatters online. This data is then sent to the end users e-mail address and alerts them of a chat log that is found to have inappropriate words.
