Description:

The program ctmix32.exe is a part of the Creative Mixer Loader application, authored by the software developer Creative Labs Incorporated. The Creative Mixer application is a tool that comes with all the Creative products, particularly the Soundblaster line. The program file ctmix32.exe serves as the primary application file. The Creative Mixer applications icon replaces the speaker icon. The program file ctmix32.exe lets the user change the audio properties and behaves like an equalizer.

The program file ctmix32.exe replaces the volume control application as the primary means of adjusting audio properties in the computer system. As the program ctmix32.exe does so, it overrides volume control and takes its spot as a startup application in the system. After Windows is loaded, the Creative Mixer icon appears on the taskbar usually beside the clock. The user can choose to exclude the ctmix32.exe program file from the list of system startup programs, and doing so will re-enable the use of the default volume control program upon system restart. The user can also choose to manually terminate the ctmix32.exe program file through the task manager; however, the user will not be able to adjust the sound properties and yet this would not disrupt the installed sound cards normal functions.
