Description:

The process ctlauncher.exe or Creative Launcher is an add-on component for the Creative SoundBlaster Live Software for the sound/audio cards of the same name, Creative SoundBlaster Live! The ctlauncher.exe file serves as the Creative launcher toolbar for Creative SoundBlaster Live. When active, the Creative toolbar appears at the top of the desktop screen. The Creative toolbar enables the user to launch several of the Creative audio applications. The Creative toolbar also allows the user to modify the default configuration of the Creative Audio SoundBlaster Live application. The file ctlauncher.exe is only available to computer systems using the Creative SoundBlaster soundcard.

The ctlauncher.exe file is an upgrade process file that adds a quick-launch tool bar at the top of the screen. This upgrade gives the user easy access to some Creative sound/audio programs. The program file ctlauncher.exe also provides a system tray icon for quick access to the Creative SoundBlaster Live application.

Since the process file ctlauncher.exe places an icon on the system tray bar, the file is considered a background process. The application does not need any network support. In addition, the process file ctlauncher.exe does not need an Internet connection in order to function properly. The user can opt to modify the program; and either enable or disable the automatic launch setting of the ctlauncher.exe file.
